Happy Mothers day from Motherkind.
When we decided to join forces and create this blog, we always had in mind to launch between the South African Mothers day and The French Mothers day (a great excuse to celebrate twice too).
Our Sunday will start off slow and hopefully be filled with sunshine and family. In France, shops are closed on Sundays and there are only a handful of restaurants open. In the beginning this was frustrating, but in time it reinforced how important a day of rest is and to concentrate on family, spring cleaning , home cooked meals and small gatherings.
We wish all Mothers, Mother-to-be and all Womankind a special day.
'I'm Mother proud! The toughest and most rewarding job there is, but knowing these two little humans count on me is daunting yet so comforting. Chloé & Ollie fill my heart with so much love and they have taught me so much about myself and what is truly important in this life. I will do all I can to nurture them and aid them grow.
I never really knew what unconditional love meant until my babies were born. Your heart expands in a way you never knew possible, which is amazing and at the same time terrifying. Motherhood is the greatest honour & challenge I have been given & I will move mountains for my two girls. They inspire me every day to be the best person & mother I can be. Liela & Zara, you are my sun, my moon & all my stars.
