Tumeric face mask

Tumeric face mask

As you must know by now, we love curcuma, more commonly known as tumeric. This spice is so versatile and the health benefits are endless.

We add it to almost everything-lovely in salad dressings, in curries and soups. Not only is it amazing in food, but it has many benifits in home made beauty remedies too.

We tried this face mask recipe and love the effects it had on our skin. It left us with tightened, cleansed skin and an overall brightness. It is especially good for problem, blemish prone skin since it is anti-bacterial. A very easy recipe & a must try for your next home spa day.

  • splash of water

Method:

  • Blend the oats & turmeric until a coarse powder
  • mix oat & turmeric with oil in a bowl and add water to get the right consistency. It should be easy spreadable.
  • Use your fingers to apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye area.
  • Leave on for about 10-15min and rinse with water.

*Turmeric does stain, so take care when preparing the mixture & applying to your skin.
