Mama Muse: Jenna McArthur
It was only a matter of time that The Motherkind Mama Muse would recommence. This platform is to share with you all, dynamic Mothers who have personally inspired me and in turn, inspire other Mothers.
Jenna is the perfect example. It has been such a delight watching Jenna mother precious Noa.
I have always admired her seamless chic style and grace. Her mothering flows naturally and she is a true inspiration to New Mothers and Women. Her real and open approach to motherhood rings true to mine so having her part of The MK Mama Muse series was a real honour.
Here is what Jenna had to say…
Your definition of ‘A Mother’
Motherhood is a blessing from God, but one that brings with it high responsibility. Being a Mum to me is about love, about guiding your little one, modelling faith and character. Being a mother means being available, involved, guiding, nurturing, disciplining. For your child, you are enough.
Who is your Mama Muse & why?
I don't really have one Mama Muse - each Mum and child is different and is the best for her own child. I do admire mums who are able to juggle work and having a little one, I admire women who put their families first. You can't buy time with your child or get it back so I admire women who are fully present in the time they spend with their children. I also celebrate other mums who are supportive, loving and kind to others - so often mums struggle and to be kind to one another is a really lovely thing. On a less deep note - I am obsessed with the absolute chicness and dialogue of Tina Marie Clark - love her instagram feed, the prettiness from Carlya Mc donagh and locally, the content shared by @brandslut - its so informative and helpful.
In short, describe a day in the life of ‘You’.
No day is the same! Noa is such a good baby - she eats when she's supposed to, sleeps when she's supposed to (I'm a sucker for routine) and smiles right through it, so the routine gives me the chance to plan my day which is great! We walk a lot on the Seapoint promenade, when she sleeps I catch up on mails and work or get to do a few house things (we moved into our new house just before Noa arrived so I'm still enjoying creating a home and decorating). I make it a priority to get to my Sweat 1000 class three times a week - a little escape for me mentally and physically. I am blessed to be a full-time Mum but I view this as a full-time job - it's not easy, rewarding but hard. Having a newborn is relentless so making time to get out of the house is so important - we coffee, we do a few classes a week like Mommy and Me and swimming classes. Sharing our journey on Instagram is a creative outlet for me and something I am really enjoying - if I can empower or inspire or encourage other mums even in the tiniest way, I am happy!
Jen, Thank you again for being a part of This series. It is a pleasure watching you grow as A Mother & Woman on your platform.
