Motherload: Embracing intentions
I have high hopes for 2018, although it didn’t kick start according to my January intentions. After a few days of stressing I had a cloud of acceptance & positivity that swept my mind. It was a strong presence that put me at peace. Having spent a lot of time meditating in 2017 and accepting myself & things that I cannot change, it prepared me for 2018 and the positive intentions that I would put in place. I’m not fond of newness or resolutions as I feel they just set you up for disappointment. I am fond of development, budding, blooming, learning and embracing-the good and the challenging.
Being A Mother is an honour and privilege, but it is not an easy role. We can be so hard on ourselves and I haven’t met A mother that doesn’t get consumed by ‘mother guilt’.
I urge you to fill your life with acceptance and positivity, even in the most darkest of places. No human is perfect and if we are doing the best we can then that is indeed good enough. You are good enough.
Positivty breeds positivty, acceptance of oneself helps us not to compare ourselves to others. In a world that boasts perfection I know comparison is the easiest things to succumb to, but if you actively try you will start to love your own life just as much as you admire anothers. Comparison will in turn become acceptance and happiness for another’s joys.
